By now just about every sentient being in the western hemisphere is buzzing with giddy delight about the iPod Nano. And yeah, it’s tiny. And yeah, it’s cool. Freakin’ cool, yeah. But the biggest announcement from Apple’s latest cavalcade of new offerings is a much more mobile solution — and I don’t mean the ROKR music phone.
Far cooler than another, even smaller iPod is to integrate the iPod into your daily driving experience. This move, which includes Acura, Audi, Honda, and Volkswagen, will put full-on iPod integration into thousands of cars next year, finally making it easy to take a few thousand songs on the road without risking your life every time you want to select a new track.
Sure, everybody already has an iTrip. But everyone already has an iPod, too, and that’s not stopping you maniacs from camping out in front of the Apple store overnight just to add another one to your collection.
