For Netscape users:

Choose "Edit" from the menu bar.

Select "Preferences"

Open the "Appearance" file From here you can change your "font" or
"colors" using pull down menus.

Click the "OK" button before exiting to put new preferences into effect.
For Internet Explorer users:

Click on the "Preferences" icon at the top of the Browser (NOTE: Older
versions of Internet Explorer may not contain a "Preferences" icon.
Instead, select "Edit" from the top menu bar and click on
"Preferences").

Open the "Web Browser" folder.

To change font type:
Open the "Language and Font". From here you may adjust the font type.

To change font and browser colors and size:
Open the "Browser Display" folder.

At the top of the page you will see a section entitled "Page and Links".
From here you may adjust the size of your text, your background and text
color, and your links display options.

Click the "OK" button before exiting to put new preferences into effect.
For America On Line 4.0 Users:

Double click the "My AOL" icon on the top menu bar.

Select "Preferences" in the pull down menu To change font: scroll down
to the "font" icon on the left side of the dialog box. Use the pull down
menus to the right side to adjust and change the font. To change color:
Scroll down to the "Toolbar" icon on the left side of the dialog box.
Use the pull down menus to the right side to adjust your color. Other
specialized appearance options my be found under the "General" icon.
To change a desktop color scheme.
Display properties
1. Right click your mouse button on the Windows 95 desktop.
2. From the pop-up menu choose Properties. The Display Propertiesdialogue
box will appear.
3. Click on the Appearances tab;
4. Select the drop down Scheme box;
5. Choose the scheme you want.
To enable the high contrast feature
1. Go to the Windows 95 Control Panel;
2. Double click the Accessibility Options. Settings for high contrast.
Then select:
a. The display tab and the high contrast box will appear;
b. Use High Contrast option;
c. Settings button;
d. The options wanted from the High Contrast box.
Here is how to modify the system fonts
1. First bring up the Display Properties dialogue box, Then select:
2. Settings tab;
3. Font Size drop down box;
4. Other option. The Custom Font Size box will appear.
5. Enter a value in the scale fonts box. Increasing the value to 150%,
for example, will result in some greatly improved menu text.
Experimentation is needed until it's right for the user.
Desktop icons
To change icon size
1. First bring up the Display Properties dialogue box (see above) and
select the Appearance tab;
2. Select Icon from the Item drop down menu;
3. Enter a number in the Item Size box.
To change the icon text:
1. Enter a number in the Font Size box.
To choose large buttons in Word 97
1. From the Tools menu select Customize;
2. Select the Options tab;
3. Click the Large Icons option.
In Windows 95 the control panel enables individual pointers to be
selected
1. Click on the Start button, choose Settings then Control Panel.
2. Double click the mouse icon.
3. Select the Pointers tab. Now make your changes.
